Karthi looks menacing (and slightly deranged) in the bald and bearded avatar and though he's seen romancing Nayanthara, one wonders if his character has shades of evil to it.
The Karthi of present times is probably a magician or someone who works with the supernatural, going by his accessories. Director Gokul had earlier said that Karthi will be doing a triple role in the film - the third one will remain a secret until the release may be?
It's perhaps only in stories set in the past that Tamil films allow the heroine to defend herself: Nayanthara can be seen swinging a sword, suggesting that she will have more to do in the story than play second fiddle to the hero. Sri Divya and comedian Vivek make an appearance too.
Santosh Narayanan's BGM adds to the intrigue.
"Kaashmora" is likely to release in the Deepavali weekend in Tamil and Telugu.
