The Nayanthara starrer Aramm has been censored with a clean U. The film was touted to hit the silver screens on September 29 to cash in on the long Dussehra weekend but the team has now decided to postpone the release. Reports are that Aramm may now be out at the theatres as a Diwali special. Written and directed by Gopi Nainar, the film has Nayanthara playing the lead role and the entire story revolves around her. She plays a district collector in Aramm. Kotapadi J Rajesh has bankrolled the film under his banner KJR Films. Ghibran has composed music for this film with Om Prakash being the cinematographer and Gopi Krishna editing it. The star cast of Aramm includes the Kakka Muttai fame Vignesh and Ramesh, Sunu Lakshmi, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Ramachandran Durairaj and PV Anandakrishnan.
Earlier, Gopi Nainar, in a statement released about the film, had said, “Aramm is a very serious subject that dwells upon an issue that is universal. Starting from a hamlet down south to any part in the world, there is only one gripping issue. That is water. Water is the lifeline of people cutting across nations, caste and religions.”
Apart from Aramm, Nayan also has Velaikkaran, Imaikkaa Nodigal, and Kolaiyuthir Kaalam in her kitty. She recently went on to sign on the dotted lines to star in Eeram fame director Arivazhagan’s upcoming film. S Thaman has confirmed that he will be composing the tunes for this film and tweeted, “Back with my fav dir @dirarivazhagan will be scoring for our lady superstar @NayantharaU can’t wait for this super journey to begin.”
Nayanthara is one of the few lucky actors to get heroine-centric and performance-oriented roles and Aramm is sure to be one of those.
