Reports are doing rounds that Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Raja The Great will hit the marquee this Diwali. The star is keen on having the film release during the festive season after the teaser gained positive reviews and managed to get 2.3 million views within 24 hours of its release. Incidentally, Raja The Great’s teaser had surpassed the Prabhas’ Saaho teaser views (2.2 mn), N Balakrishna’s Paisa Vasool (2.2 mn) and Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 (1.68 mn) views.
It’s been nearly a month since the teaser of Raja The Great was released and it had managed to get 6 mn views with 90K likes. With the teaser creating waves, the film’s satellite, digital and Hindi rights have been sold for a humongous Rs. 18 crores. Raja The Great comes with the tagline 'Welcome to my world' which indicates that Ravi Teja plays a blind man.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film has Ravi Teja playing the male lead with Mehreen Pirzada as his leading lady. While Raashi Khanna will be seen making a cameo appearance in Raja The Great, the star cast also includes Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Vivan Bhatena. The film is produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Composing the music for this flick is Sai Karthik with Mohana Krishna wielding the camera and Tammi Raju editing. Touted to hit the marquee on October 12th to coincide with the Diwali festival, it looks like Raja The Great will have a stiff competition at the box office with Nagarjuna’s Raju Gari Gadhi.
Ravi Teja is banking on Raja The Great’s success at the box office with two of his previous releases Kick 2 and Bengal Tiger failing to garner good public response. Apart from Raja The Great, the star also has Touch Chesi Chudu lined up for release.
