Former cricketer S Sreesanth found himself at the receiving end of ridicule from Twitterati, after he tweeted about the need for change in Kerala on Monday. Sreesanth, who is contesting for the upcoming assembly election is in the process of campaigning. Things went haywire after he called Kerala a “city”.
The change is must in Kerala Nd Iam sure It will happen this time..we can be worlds best city if we all work together..

It did not take much time for Twitter users to rush in to give Sreesanth a lesson in geography.
@sreesanth36 @timesofindia @htTweets Kerala? City? Omg u need a lesson in general knowledge and geography first..then in political science.

A user was outright blunt and called his political life “a disaster even before it started”.
@sreesanth36 Deat Sreeshant, Most of the Keralites not interested in you.Your political life is a disaster before it started.

Sreesanth was quick enough to rectify his mistake and clarified:
@dhruvvijay all I meant is Tvm is gonna be the best city in the world..as Iam winning from this constituency..I will make change in Kerala
— Sreesanth (@sreesanth36) April 19, 2016
Puns found their way into his profile as reactions to his mistake poured in.
@sreesanth36 ...and you think you can fix this problem? Oh wait...how can I forget. You're good in Fixing. Right?

A bad decision, and Twitterati doesn't spare anyone. After Sreesanth blocked some users who tweeted against him, more criticism came his way.
Dear @sreesanth36, blocking a potential voter for pointing out a mistake, is not a very good idea #ProTip pic.twitter.com/dnVuiHYIdD

Sreesanth must be an optimistic person. His Twitter account says, “time heals everything”. Let’s hope it does!
