Duniya Vijay’s next film, titled Kanaka, is gearing up for release during the last week of November, and the team is getting ready to have the teaser released on November 1 to coincide with the Kannada Rajyotsava Day. Directed and produced by R Chandru, Kanaka stars Manvitha Harish and Hari Priya sharing the screen space with Duniya Vijay as his leading ladies.
The shooting of this film is almost over with the director working on the teaser cut. In the meantime, the post-production of Kanaka is happening at a brisk pace. Touted to be a romantic action entertainer, the film has some daring stunt sequences which Duniya Vijay has done without opting for a body double.
Based on real-life incidents, the film is about an auto driver, an ardent Dr Rajkumar fan. Yes, Duniya Vijay plays a Dr Rajkumar fan in Kanaka and it is one of the highlights of the film. The star cast also includes Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Ravishanker, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Belavadi, Srinivasamurthy, Sudha, Padmaja Rao, Yuga Chandru and a host of others.
The technicians involved in the making of Kanaka include cameraman Sathya Hegde, award-winning music director Naveen Sajju, and Harish for editing. The stunts have been choreographed by Thriller Manju, Different Danny, Ravi Verma, and Vinod while the dance sequences have been choreographed by Murali, Harsha and Imran.
It may be noted here that Duniya Vijay and Chandru share a special rapport and will be teaming up for another film after wrapping up Kanaka. Reports are that the star is undergoing special training in wrestling to fit into the skin of the character he is to play. More details about this film will be revealed once Kanaka hits the marquee next month.
