The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's nephew Uday Kumar passed away early morning Friday in Hyderabad. Doctors said that Uday, who was 43-years-old, suffered a cardiac arrest and could not be revived. Uday is the Andhra Chief Minister's second sister Haimavathi’s son and was a contractor with the Roads and Buildings division.

Reports say that Chandrababu Naidu has cancelled all his government events for the day and is expected to attend Uday’s last rites at Tirupathi. Uday suffered a cardiac arrest and was brought to Care Hospital at Banjara Hills at 6 am in an ambulance. The doctors at the emergency were unable to revive Uday even though they took over 45 minutes trying to revive him.

“Our doctors tried their best, we tried to revive him for over 45 minutes. The doctors pronounced him dead at 7.20 am,” said Shiv Shankar public relations department in-charge, Care Hospital. "His family members, who were with him, have received his body and is taking him to Tirupathi to perform his last rites,” he added.

The death in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's family comes a day after a petition was filed in the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday challenging the Registrar of Companies and Serious Fraud Investigation Office over inaction in assigning Unique Identification Numbers (UINs) to the companies belonging to the family of the Chandrababu Naidu.

The department was conducting a forensic audit of the firms. The petition, filed by Immaneni Rama Rao, an advocate from Secunderabad, submitted that the officials concerned have not assigned the UIN numbers intentionally to delay the forensic investigation of the companies. The companies under investigation include Heritage Foods, Heritage Agro, Heritage Nutrivet, Nirvana Power and Nirvana estates, among others, reported The New Indian Express.
