As YSRCP decimates the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is set to submit his resignation by the end of the day, reports ANI. With YSRCP leading in 152 of the 175 seats at the time of publishing, Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to become the next Chief Minister of the state. In the wake of this massive loss, TDP chief Naidu will reportedly be sending his resignation to the Governor by Thursday evening.

While it is not known when Jagan’s swearing in will take place, the Legislative Party meeting of YSRCP is set to take place on May 25.

TDP is currently leading in only 25 seats, while Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party is leading in 1 seat. Naidu’s son and minister for Information Technology, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh is trailing in Mangalagiri constituency by over 5,000 votes with YSRCP’s Rama Krishna Reddy leading the race.

Not just Assembly elections, YSRCP is set to sweep Lok Sabha polls as well, as it currently leads in 24 out of 25 seats.

Pawan Kalyan’s JSP is also facing a massive loss. While Pawan Kalyan is leading in the Gajuwaka constituency, he is losing in Bhimavaram.

With his massive victory, Jagan Mohan Reddy has revived his political career and the fortunes of the YSRCP, which faced a defeat in the previous elections, following the formation of Telangana.

With close to four crore voters, Andhra Pradesh went to polls on April 11 and a total of 319 candidates were in the fray for the 25 Lok Sabha seats while 2,118 candidates were vying for a seat in the 175-member Assembly. Both Naidu and Jagan contested from their home grounds; Kuppam in Chittoor district, and Pulivendula in Kadapa district, and are winning with a massive margin.
