Following Cyclone Titli, which caused widespread destruction in Andhra Pradesh, the state is struggling to get back up on its feet and return to normal life. Titli hit the Andhra-Odisha coast last week leaving eight dead and affecting 872 villages.
The state government has estimated the damage across sectors to be worth Rs 2,800 crore. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had earlier written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting for financial assistance from the Centre amounting to Rs 1,200 crore as interim relief for rehabilitation of the affected areas.
The CM, along with several celebrities, has also been urging the public to step in contribute to help restore normalcy in the state.

Paytm
Like it did for the floods in Kerala and Karnataka, Paytm has yet again opened up an option on the Paytm app for those wishing to donate from the same to aid ongoing relief efforts in the state.
There is an ‘AP Relief Fund’ icon on the main page of the Paytm app, which gives users an option to contribute to ‘Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund’.
BHIM UPI
The Bhim UPI app has also opened up donations for relief work. Those wanting to pay through Bhim app can make the payment to ‘apcmrelief@andb’.
The AP government has also announced that people can download the ‘People First’ mobile app to report damages and loss of property, livestock, crops, and infrastructure along with related images. The government will use this information to track the locations and take all the necessary steps to send help as soon as possible.
Titli made a landfall in the state on October 11. According to a report filed by the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), 18 mandals in Srikakulam have been affected and several areas are still flooded.
Heavy rainfall and wind damaged 290 km of roads and created 65 traffic disruptions, of which 55 were promptly cleared, the report said. Power supply in over 4,000 villages was affected after several electric poles were uprooted. Almost 9,000 houses were damaged in the storm.
