An FIR was registered against YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday for misbehaving with a government official and preventing him from discharging his duties.

The police in Nandigama near Vijaywada booked the case on a complaint by the development committee of a government-run area hospital.

On Tuesday, tempers ran high at the hospital as Jagan, who is the Leader of Opposition, snatched papers from a doctor, and Collector A Babu who had reached there took objection to this.

Jagan had come to the hospital to meet those injured in a bus accident.

Jagan then pulled up the Collector and remarked that everybody from the police to the Collector was involved in corruption. He even threatened to send the Collector to jail after a thorough probe into the accident.

Jagan said Diwakar Travels and Kesineni Travels are owned by TDP MPs and were being run in violation of all rules.

He alleged that a fictitious report was prepared without conducting autopsy on the body of the driver of the bus, which fell off the bridge into a canal near Mulapadu, killing 11 people and injuring over 30.

The bus belonged to Diwakar Travels owned by TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy and the driver was allegedly drowsy.

Jagan alleged that the government was trying to save Diwakar Travels.

Other YSR leaders were also reportedly booked.
