Tamil cine star Sarath Kumar has warned his junior colleague Vishal against making derogatory remarks against the South Indian Film Artistes' Association.

Vishal had criticized the association's decision to give on lease its land to a private organization.

Sarath Kumar who heads the association said that if the actor continued to make such remarks his primary membership would be cancelled, Deccan Chronicle reported.

“People like Vishal, who are eyeing the posts of office-bearers of the association, are making such unwarranted remarks,” Sarath Kumar told the media in Tiruchy. He also said that Vishal was not to be seen or heard when the association was in a crisis.

"At the end of the lease period, the trust will have a deposit of Rs 170 crore,” the actor said justifying the move. He added that the trust’s major objective was to provide pension to stage and film artistes struggling to make ends meet.
