Huawei launches Honor View 20 in India with in-screen selfie camera

The Honor View 20 is powered by Huawei's flagship-grade HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC and 8GB of RAM.

After releasing the device in China and Europe, Huawei has brought its latest smartphone in the Honor sub-brand the Honor View 20 to the Indian market. In China, the phone was called as the Honor V20. The device is being positioned at the high-end with some decent specifications and features. The camera section is highlighted by the large 48MP camera in combination with a secondary camera that is of the 3D ToF variety. The hole in the front screen is another that is being spoken off.

To get down to the key specifications of the Honor View 20, it comes with a display of 6.4 inches with full HD+ 1080x2310pixels resolution TFT LCD All-View display. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9 and the display occupies 91.82% of the screen. Huawei has chosen its inhouse processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC as the CPU and the Honor 20 View comes with 2 RAM variants, 6GB and 8GB. And the internal storage too is made available in two options, 128GB and 256GB. There is no provision for a microSD card slot. 

A powerful 4000mAh battery with the fast charging capability will provide the power. 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C are the connectivity options on the phone. Phantom Blue, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue are the three colour options.

The optics section has been roughly described above. The rear camera setup comes with features like 960fps slow-motion video recording, autofocus, AI HDR, and an LED flash module. The smartphone can be turned into a PC mode and connected to a keyboard, mouse and a monitor.

Now the most important part of it, the price. The Honor View 20 will be sold in India at Rs 37,999, for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB variant and the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage option will be priced at Rs 45,999.    

Sales of the Honor View 20 started on Wednesday, January 30 at 12 midnight.
