India is increasingly becoming one of OnePlus’ largest markets, with the company choosing the country for the launch of every flagship. The demand for OnePlus’ products could be seen at in Delhi on Thursday with thousands thronging from across the country to witness the launch of two latest devices from the Chinese smartphone maker – the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus TV

Keeping up with the tradition of launching a mid-year flagship, Chinese smartphone maker has launched the OnePlus 7T with 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display. With the 7T, the company has also announced that all its flagships will now have the 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display.

This smartphone is the successor of the OnePlus 7 and not the Pro. Hence, it does not sport the edge to edge display.

However, the OnePlus 7T comes with a new design housing its triple-camera setup within a well-polished circular ring module. The back is made with matte-frosted glass, which radiates a soft gleam as light bounces off. On the front, it comes with a waterdrop notch, which houses the front camera.

However, the USP of this device is its 90Hz fluid display. Something OnePlus has been working on for over two years, the new display speeds up the screen efficiency response rate to just 40 milliseconds, 38% faster than a typical smartphone.

The OnePlus 7T comes with the latest HDR10+ certification and the 90 Hz refresh rate is enhanced by over 370 optimizations made in OnePlus’ bespoke OxygenOS. This ensures a smooth and fliud experience while scrolling through the smartphone or playing video game.

OnePlus 7T also hosts dual stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos for a more immersive and dynamic movie and gaming experience with or without headphones.

It sports a 3,800 mAh battery with a new fast-charge technology, Warp Charge 30T. The new charging technology, OnePlus claims can charge the phone 23% quicker than Warp Charge 30 and simultaneously keep the phone body cool and charging speed constant even while a graphically intensive game is running.

The OnePlus 7T is also the first smartphone to come preloaded with Android 10, Google’s latest version of Android, which offers premium features that users can personalize.

Camera

Apart from the display, another major enhancement in the 7T is the camera. The OnePlus 7T features the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586, a ½-inch large image sensor with a 7P lens, a large aperture of f/1.6 and OIS. The primary lens is completed by a 2xzoom lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an expansive 117-degree field of view for wider viewing angles.

For selfies, it sports a 16MP front camera.

Among the various camera modes, the new Macro Mode featured on the OnePlus 7T encourages users to get up close to a focus distance of 2.5cm and discover the intricate details in an image.

The OnePlus 7T allows users to shoot videos interchangeably between all three lenses while simultaneously stabilizing the footage by leveraging its superior stabilization technology. To further enrich Nightscapes, users are now able to utilize the ultra-wide-angle lens to incorporate a wider field of view into their shot to capture more of the stunning night-time scenery before them.
