The News Minute| April 4, 2015| 12.19 am ISTNowadays, everyone knows him only as the man who has been featured on countless memes. The butt of many a joke, Tamil actor-turned politician Vijayakanth,  has been known to maintain a dignified silence despite being targeted by fans for his comedy appeal. To change the public perspective, Behindwoods has compiled a video "The Real Vijaykanth" telling viewers that though they might know him only for his trolls, there was a whole other side to the man. The video starts by explaining how Vijayaraj aka Vijayakanth made his name felt in the Tamil film world, and how tough it was to make a mark among actors in a generation that included Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan. Listing out some of his best movies like "Sethupathi IPS", "Pulan Visaranai" and "Captain Prabhakaran", it goes on to say that one of his movies even won the Filmfare Best Actor award for Amman "Koyil Kizhakalae" in 1986.From dancing effortlessly to steps choreographed by Prabhu Deva to being cast as hero in many popular directors’ come-back films, it goes on to explain the other side of Vijayakanth - achievements that needed to be retold to the public.
