Srimanthudu and Rangitaranga dominate IIFA awards

In a glittering event in Hyderabad on Monday, IIFA UTSAVAM witnessed the coming together of the biggest superstars of Telugu and Kannada film industries.

In Tollywood, Srimanthudu won the highest number of awards including six awards for Leading Role Male, Leading Role Female, Supporting Role Male-Jagapati Babu, Music Direction- Devi Sri Prasad, Lyrics-Ramajogayya Sastry, Playback Singer Male-Sagar. Mahesh Babu won the award for Leading Role Male and Shruti Hassan won for Leading Role Female for their amazing performance in the hit film Srimanthudu.

Baahubali-The Beginning won five awards for Best picture-Shobu Yarlagadda, Direction- SS Rajamouli, Supporting Role Female-Ramya Krishna, Negative Role-Rana Daggubati, Playback singer female-Satya Yamini.

Rangitaranga took home the highest number of accolades in Sandalwood including  six awards for Best Picture-HK Prakash, Direction-Anup Bhandari, Supporting Role Male-Sai Kumar, Negative Role-Arvind Rao, Music Direction and Lyrics both the awards are won by Anup Bhandari.

Superstars like Tamanna, Akhil Akkineni, Ram Charan and Shivraj, Prabhu Deva and Shriya Saran gave incredible performances and also held the audience spell-bound with their stunning performances.
