Actor Asin Thottumkal and her husband, Micromax founder, Rahul Sharma were blessed with a baby girl on Tuesday.
"We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our angelic baby girl earlier today.
The last nine months have been most special and exciting for the both of us and we would like to thank all our well wishers and everyone who has been part of our journey for all their love and support," a statement from them reads.
Asin said on her Instagram: " Ecstatic to announce the arrival of our Angelic Baby Girl earlier today. Thank you for all your love and wishes. She is the best birthday present I could ever ask for!
The proud father, Rahul, also took to Twitter to inform everyone about the arrival of the baby.

Actor Akshay Kumar, a friend of the family, shared a picture of him with the baby and tweeted, “One joy which is completely unmatched...congratulations to my dearest friends Asin and @rahulsharma on the arrival of their little angel.”

Asin, who has acted in several Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, was at the height of her career when she quit films to marry Rahul Sharma in January last year. Interestingly, their love story had quite a few similarities to Ghajini, the superhit Suriya-Asin film which was also remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan.
