Model turned actor Renu Desai deactivated her Twitter account following the abuse she was receiving regarding her upcoming wedding.

Renu, who was previously married to actor and politician Pawan Kalyan, had recently posted a picture of her engagement on all the social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. While several users had congratulated her, a few were dejected with her decision to marry once again, after her divorce with actor Pawan Kalyan.

Following several hate messages, Renu had initially called out the trolls for their stupidity on Instagram. As the torrent of abuse continued, she made her Instagram account private, restricting the audience.

The actor called out the trolls with screenshots of her messages on her Instagram.

One user had said, “Hai madam, after you and Pawan anna got separated, I was really sad. But now news is coming that you are going for a second marriage. I am unable to bear it. I will kill myself. Keep Pawan anna as your god in your heart forever, you should always be happy. You are my mom. Love you Amma, please don’t do it Amma.”

The actor replied to him, “And then the crazy ones crawl out of the woodwork.”

Another in a series of messages wrote, “Madam please don’t go for second marriage. You have inspired several women by being single. Don’t spoil your repute by marrying for the second time. I don’t know how Pawan Kalyan got separated from a good hearted soul like you. Maybe it is his bad luck. But you don’t do second marriage, if you do so there won’t be a difference between you and others.”

Yet another messaged her, “If you do a second marriage there will be lots of problems, it is sure. So you better rethink, whatever you are doing. Please because of you our God should not face any problem. Whatever you do, ensure that our God does not face any problem.”

With the hate messages continuing on Twitter, including threats, the actor deactivated her account. But before doing so, she wrote: “I feel that there is too much negativity on Twitter. Most of the twitter accounts are anonymous and personally or professionally frustrated humans, who just like to write negative about film or political people. As I am starting a new phase of my life, I’ve decided to deactivate my twitter handle and stay away from the negativity that with it. Thank you all who were genuine well wishers and were kind and gentle with me in my bad phase of life.”

Pawan Kalyan and Renu got married in 2009. They worked together as actors in Badri and Johnny. However, they parted ways in 2012, and Pawan remarried. After nearly six years, Renu decided to get married. Fearing trolls, she even concealed the image of her fiancé and shared her the engagement photo. However, this did not stop the trolls from showering hate on her.

Besides acting, Renu has worked in several capacities. She has worked as costume designer, editor and producer.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter to wish the actor. Pawan wrote, “My wholehearted wishes to Ms Renu garu for entering a new phase of happiness. I wish and pray almighty and the mother nature to bestow upon her abundant heath, peace and prosperity. (sic)”
