AR Rahman accepts Sivakarthikeyan’s request

Siva Karthikeyan is one of the most happening heroes in the tinsel town with consecutive in the recent years. The star is basking in glory over his latest film release Seema Raja turning out to be a hit and is concentrating on his upcoming film with director Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame. To be titled yet, the project is being referred to as SK 14. Touted to be a high budget film, it is being bankrolled by RD Raja under his banner 24 AM Studios.

The highlight of the film is that it will have music by the Osscar-winning music director AR Rahman. According to sources, he has come up with some impressive tunes already. Reportedly, one of the tunes composed by the musician impressed the star so much that he requested AR Rahman to sing the song himself.

Siva Karthikeyan had told the music director that he would be honored if the Oscar winner himself sang the song to which he readily obliged. Therefore, it is not just the first time ARR and Siva Karthikeyan are associating but the musician is actually rendering a song for the hero.

Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in to play his female lead in this project. The star cast also has Yogi Babu, Kothandam and Karunakaran playing the supporting roles.

It may be noted here that the official pooja of Siva’s 13th film, which has not been titled yet happened recently, confirm sources. Referred as SK 13 for now, it is touted to be a rom-com that will have Nayanthara playing the female lead.

M Rajesh, well known for directing romantic comedies, will be wielding the megaphone for this venture with KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green bankrolling it. Actor Sathish will be Siva’s comedian pair in this film.
