'Baahubali 2' premiere shows cancelled as mark of respect to Vinod Khanna

Following the death of veteran actor Vinod Khanna who passed away in Mumbai on Thursday, the Baahubali team has decided to cancel the premiere shows of the film.

Though Baahubali 2 releases on April 28, Friday, special premiere shows were supposed to be held late on Thursday. There is a huge buzz around the film which has opened big across the country and several critics as well as fans were looking forward to catching an early show. 

Already, reviews from members of certification boards have been trickling in, setting up the expectations even more. On Wednesday, three visuals from the film were leaked leading to much excitement on social media. 

The announcement about the cancellation of the premiere show was made by filmmaker and producer Karan Johar whose Dharma Productions holds the distribution rights of the film's Hindi version.
