Kajal Agarwal made her debut in Tollywood with Lakshmi Kalyanam released in 2007. The film had Kalyan Ram playing the lead role. And after a decade, there are chances that the two may come together to share the screen space again.
According to reports doing the rounds in tinsel town, talks are on with Kajal Agarwal to play Kalyan Ram’s heroine in his upcoming film, which has been titled MLA. Touted to be a political drama, the film will be directed by Upendra Madhav, who will be making his directorial debut.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, grandson of the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao and brother of actor Jr NTR, made his acting debut as a child artiste in Bala Gopaludu and was seen as hero in Toli Choopulone. He is currently producing the Jr NTR starrer Jai Lava Kusa, under his home banner NTR Arts.
Kalyan Ram’s Pataas released in 2015 turned out to be a blockbuster hit with the film being remade in Tamil under the title Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva. He appeared as a cop and received positive reviews for his acting. Pataas was directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Kalyan Ram under the NTR Arts banner. The Tamil version Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva has been in the making for nearly two years with the film finally seeing the light of day on March 9, 2017. The film was also remade in Kannada under the title Pataki.
Kajal Agarwal on the other hand is busy with a slew of projects such as the Ajith starrer Vivegam and Vijay’s untitled film referred to as Vijay 61 and the Telugu movie Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The actor is yet to sign on the dotted line to star in Kalyan Ram’s MLA.
