Dhruva Sarja-starrer Bharjari just got bigger, with Darshan agreeing to lend his voice to the film. The Challenging Star will play the role of the sutradhar, providing the narration for the film.
When the film’s director Chethan Kumar, approached Darshan to do the voice-over for the film, he agreed instantly, much to the delight of the team.
Chethan Kumar told The Times of India, “The film opens with Darshan's voiceover and this continues throughout the movie, till the climax. It is a total of 12 minutes. The movie is about the many unpredictable things that happen in life and the challenges that each one of us have to face, which is why we wanted the Challenging Star to come onboard in this capacity.”
Dhruva told the newspaper that the team had decided on Darshan for the voiceover two years before, but had been apprehensive about approaching him since he had never lent his voice before. So they were thrilled to have him on board for the film.
According to sources, shooting for the talkie portions of the film have been completed and one song sequence remains to be shot. The film’s audio is likely to be launched later in August, while the movie itself will hit theatres next month.
Bharjari, bankrolled by R Srinivas and Sreekanth KP under the banner RS Productions, also stars Rachita Ram, P Ravi Shankar, Sudha Rani, Sai Kumar and Jahangir. V Harikrishna has composed music for the film.
