Kalidas Jayaram recently completed shooting for his portions in the Jeethu Joseph directorial and has moved over to his next. The young actor will now begin concentrating on the Midhun Manuel Thomas directorial Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu. The film will have Aishwarya Lekshmi playing Kalidas’ lead pair. Besides this lead pair, the film will have a set of newbies in different roles.

The first look of Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu has been unveiled recently. On this football-based film, director Midhun Manuel Thomas wrote on his social media page, “Not only Argentina fans, but all football fans can like... Real football fans appear in this film.” The film will be bankrolled by Aashiq Usman. Midhun Manuel Thomas and John Manthrickal will be penning the script jointly for it. Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu will be bankrolled by Aashiq Usman under his banner.

Director Midhun Manuel Thomas made his directorial debut with Aadu, which turned out to be a big hit and went on to don the director’s robes for films such as Ann Maria KalippilaanuAlamara and Aadu 2

His lead actor Kalidas, who had won accolodaes as a child actor, made his debut as an adult with the Abrid Shine directorial Poomaram earlier this year. The film had received mixed reviews for its youth festival theme.

After the release of Poomaram, Kalidas went on to sign a film with the noted director Alphonse Putheran of Premam fame. The film – a Tamil one - has not been titled yet. It may be mentioned here that this project is the next directorial from Alphonse Putheran after the massive success of Premam. Kalidas is also learnt to have signed a film with cinematographer-dorector Santosh Sivan.

Meanwhile, the female lead of Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu, Aishwarya Lakshmi, also seems to be doing well. All three of her films released so far have done pretty well, the last one being the Amal Neerad-directed Varathan, opposite Fahadh Faasil.
