First-look poster of Siddharth-Catherine Tresa's 'Aruvam' released

This film is being directed by debutant director Sai Sekar.

The first look poster of Siddharth’s film Aruvam directed by debutant director Sai Sekar released on Monday. This is his next horror-thriller after Aval, which was directed by Milind Rau. The film marks the first time collaboration between Siddharth and Catherine Tresa. Siddharth was last seen in Kammara Sambhavam which marked his debut in the Malayalam.

After releasing the first-look poster, the film’s team said in a press statement, “We were conscious to do justice to the first look-poster of Aruvam. We wanted to give the best impression with our first impression.”

Talking to Cinema Express, the director said, “We’ve spoken about a topic that we face in our day-to-day lives. The film is currently in post-production stage and we’re busy with CG works. Barring a song, we’ve completed the shooting portions. We’re planning not to reveal it as we want the audience to see the character in the film.”

The director revealed the film will cater to all types of audiences across different age groups.

Tipped to be a horror-comedy, the film went on the floors from July 13 in Chennai. The film also stars Kabir Singh, Kali Venkat and Sathish in important roles. According to the director, the film features nearly 40-minutes of computer graphics. Music is scored by SS Thaman, while NK Ekhambaram will be taking care of the visuals. 

To be produced by R Ravindran of Trident Arts, this will be the fourth production venture of Trident Arts, best known for their association with Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Vikram Vedha. 

On the other hand, Siddharth has Shaitha Ka Bachcha with Karthik Krish under production and yet untitled film directed by Pichaikkaran fame Sasi and co-starring GV Prakash Kumar, which will be a trilingual shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Rumoured to be a romantic comedy the rest of the cast and crew will be revealed in due course.
