Folk artist Raghu Dixit to compose songs for Anjali Menon’s next flick

Raghu Dixit, a popular music composer and lyricist, has a huge fan base in Mollywood. So, when he has been signed up to compose tunes for Anjali Menon’s upcoming film, it naturally hit the headlines. According to reports, Raghu Dixit will be setting the tunes for three songs in the movie while veteran music director M Jayachandran will be composing two songs.

On working with Anjali Menon, Raghu Dixit has been quoted by the Deccan Chronicle as saying, “It's definitely one of the best scripts written in my career and I am very fortunate to be working with Anjali Menon.”

While the inclusion of Raghu Dixit is a reason to expect this film’s album, movie buffs are also waiting eagerly for the film’s release as it will mark Nazriya Nazim’s comeback into the film industry post marriage. It may be mentioned here that Nazriya decided to quit donning the greasepaint after her wedding to actor Fahadh Faasil a couple of years ago.

Apart from Nazriya, Anjali Menon has also roped in Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy to play pivotal roles.

Anjali Menon began her career with the short film Black Nor White way back in 2000. She then went on to direct films such as Manjadikuru, Kerala Café and Bangalore Days. Anjali Menon had penned the screenplay for Ustad Hotel.

She went on to win the 60th National Film Awards - Best Dialogues for Ustad Hotel apart from a host of other awards including Asianet Film Awards - Best Screenplay (Ustad Hotel), Filmfare Awards South - Best Director (Bangalore Days), Asianet Film Awards - Best Director (Bangalore Days) and Best Popular Film (Bangalore Days), Vanitha Film Awards - Best Director (Bangalore Days) and Best Popular Film and SIIMA Film Awards - Best Director (Bangalore Days) and Best Film.
