The Allu Arjun starrer Sarrainodu released in 2016 turned out to be one of the biggest hits in the star’s career. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, the film went on to collect Rs 127 crore at the box office worldwide. This massive success prompted the filmmakers to dub the film in Hindi as well.

This makes it the most watched Indian film on YouTube. Also, it is the most liked Indian movie with over 500,000 likes. Well, this proves that Allu Arjun’s popularity in the northern parts of Indian is soaring.

Sarrainodu, written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, was bankrolled by Allu Aravind under his banner Geetha Arts. While Allu Arjun played the lead role in this flick, it had Rakul Preet Singh as his female lead. The others in the star cast included Aadhi Pinisetty and Catherine Tresa. Srikanth S Thaman had composed music for this flick with Rishi Punjabi wielding the camera and Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao editing it.

Sarrainodu became the first film in the actor’s career to rake in over Rs 100 crore. Not only has the film achieved this rare feat, it has also set new collection records in several areas across Andhra and Telangana. It was the third blockbuster in a row for Arjun, after Race Gurram and S/O Satyamurthy.

Later it was dubbed in Malayalam and Hindi as well. In Malayalam, it was dubbed as Yodhavu while in Hindi the title Sarrainodu was retained. For the Hindi version, the voice for Allu Arjun was given by dubbing artiste Sanket Mhatre.
