After being a part of some big commercial and critical successes in the recent past like Thani Ourvan, Miruthan, and Bogan, Jayam Ravi is ready with his next film, Tik Tik Tik.

Tik Tik Tik is India's first space film, directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, and promises to take you on a journey like never before. Starring Jayam Ravi and Nivetha Pethuraj, the makers have now announced that it will hit the screens on January 26, 2018, during the Republic Day weekend.

The announcement came right after the makers of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 released a statement about their film being postponed.

Talking to TNM, the makers said, "We chose January 26 to coincide with Republic day as Tik Tik Tik will be the India's first space film. It will be a benchmark in the Indian film industry as it will be an outer space visual splendor filled with meteorites, satellites, asteroids and much more. We have been extra cautious. We wanted to give the best feel to the audience when the story shifts to space, for which we had put up huge sets and extensive VFX which you will experience in the film. Our film has no romance and even the songs have been shot as montages.”

Filmmaker Shakti Soundar Rajan told IANS, “We imported a special device to shoot action sequences. When you use rope in stunts, you can either move front and back or left and right. This device helps to move in 360 degrees but none of us knew how to use it.”

He also added that Jayam Ravi’s son, Aarav, plays Ravi's son in the film too. “Scenes between them will touch audiences' hearts,” Shakti said.

Oru Naal Koothu girl Nivetha Pethuraj plays the female lead in Tik Tik Tik. The film also has Aaron Aziz, Ramesh Tilak, Jaya Prakash, Vincent Asokan and Ravi’s son Aarav in pivotal characters.

Produced by Hitesh Jhabak with music by D Imman, S Venkatesh is cranking the camera for the film and Pradeep E Raghav takes care of the editing department.
