Speculation was rife that actor Jayaram’s son Kalidas could soon work with director Midhun Manuel Thomas in his upcoming film, Argentina Fans Kattorrkadavu, as the latter had posted a pic with the three of them on his Facebook page.

Well, it has now been confirmed with the director making it official on Facebook again that Kalidas is indeed a part of the project.

Kalidas will be acting along with Aishwarya Lekshmi of Maayanadhi fame. The film will be bankrolled by Aashiq Usman. Midhun Manuel Thomas and John Manthrickal will be penning the script jointly for it.

Besides Kalidas Jayaram and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the film will also feature several newcomers making their debut. On this football-based film, director Midhun Manuel Thomas had said earlier, “Not only Argentina fans, but all football fans can like it. All real football fans appear in this film.”

Midhun Manuel Thomas made his directorial debut with Aadu, which turned out to be a big hit and went on to don the director’s robes for films such as Ann Maria Kalippilaanu, Alamara and Aadu 2.

It may be mentioned here that the young actor, who made his debut as hero with Poomaram earlier this year, has also inked a deal to star in the Jeethu Joseph directorial, which has not been tiled yet.

Kalidas Jayaram, after the release of Poomaram, also went on to sign up a film with the noted director Alphonse Putheran. The film will be the director’s maiden Tamil film, which has not been titled yet.

This project is the next directorial from Alphonse Putheran after the massive success of Premam. Kalidas has also signed up a project with director Jeethu Joseph. With the young actor on a signing spree with top directors, his career is moving in the right direction.

At the same time, Kalidas Jayaram has signed another movie in Tamil as well. The film titled Nadaga Media will be directed by the young film-maker Karthick Naren.
