Kamal's new trilingual project, ‘Sabaash Naidu’ announced

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan amped up the hype for his latest film when he announced a press meet in advance at the Nadigar Sangam hall. His next is an ambitious trilingual, and a spinoff of one of his famed Dasavatharam characters.

‘Sabaash Naidu’, is set to be a spinoff of one of his popular characters in the 2008 movie Dasavatharam, Balram Naidu. The movie will follow the adventures of detective Naidu in the style of Hercule Poirot, writer Agatha Christie’s famed character. His comical assistant Brahmanandam also has a role to play in the Telugu and Tamil originals, but will be replaced by Saurabh Shukla in the Hindi version. 

Playing his wife is actor Ramya Krishnan. His reel life daughter will be played by none other than his real-life daughter, Shruti Haasan for the first time. Ilaiyaraja will score the music. Actor Naseer opened the meet and Kamal Hassan revealed the first look of the flim, which will begin shooting on May 2.
