Mishti is making her presence felt in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries slowly but steadily. The lady has recently bagged an offer to star in the Kannada remake of the hit Tamil flick, Velai Illadha Pattadhari, which had Dhanush playing the lead role. And Mishti has every reason to be excited not only because it will mark her debut in Sandalwood but also because she is an ardent Dhanush fan.

Speaking to the TOI, Mishti said: “It seemed like a good start for my career here. I have only seen bits and pieces of the original, so I will not be influenced by it and can approach the Kannada version with a clean slate.”

Manoranjan Ravichandran, son of actor V Ravichandran, will be reprising Dhanush’s role in the remake and it is bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh. The shooting of this flick is currently happening in Mysore.
