Mohanlal plays Sachidanandan in 'Big Brother'

Mohanlal’s upcoming film Big Brother, directed by Siddique, will begin shooting from next month. Reports are that Big Brother will be a family entertainer with Mohanlal and Anoop Menon playing brothers. Mohanlal’s character in the film is called Sachidanandan.

The others playing supporting roles in Big Brother are Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sarjano Khalid, Tini Tom, Siddique and Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan. On the female lead, we hear that Regina Cassandra is in talks with the makers and an official announcement will be made once she signs the project.

Big Brother is being produced by director Siddique under his banner S Talkies and Vaishaka Cinema. Deepak Dev will be composing tunes for this flick. Reports are that a major portion of the film will be shot in Ernakulam and Bengaluru and the locations have been finalised.

Besides Big Brother, Mohanlal also has Ittymaani: Made in China and Marakkar: Arabikadlinte Simham in his kitty. While he has completed shooting for Marakkar and the film has gone into the post production stage, Ittymaani has only gone on the floors recently.

Marakkar is directed by Priyadarshan. Made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, this film is produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy under their respective banners Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment. It will have extensive sea warfare sequences which will be its highlight.

Ittymaani: Made in China is being directed by debut directors Jibi and Joju and bankrolled by Anthony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The title poster of the film was unveiled some time ago and it featured a laughing Buddha also indicating that it will be a comic caper. Veteran actor Radhikaa Sarathkumar will also be seen in a pivotal role in Ittimani: Made in China in which Mohanlal plays a Thrissur native.
