The Mohanlal starrer Odiyan went on the floors some months ago and the team has completed two schedules already.

And now the film’s director VA Shrikumar Menon has announced the commencement for the third schedule. Confirming that the third schedule has begun, the director stated that Mohanlal would be joining the sets on December 5th.

His post reads: “odiyan 3rd schedule started yesterday night and have been shooting till early morning. Laletan will join in his cute new look on 5th of dec — shrikumar menon (@VA_Shrikumar) November 13, 2017.”

With the director mentioning about Mohanlal’s new cute look, the star’s fans just can’t wait to see him on the silver screens. It may be mentioned here that Mohanlal will be playing the lead role in this film and will be required to shed 15 kilos of weight for a particular look in it.

The star is currently undergoing intense workout sessions to reduce his weight before joining the shooting. Odiyan is a fantasy thriller that has Mohanlal playing the title role with Prakash Raj, Manju Warrier, Siddique and Innocent in the star cast as well.

In fact, Mohanlal and Prakash Raj are teaming up after several years which is one of the reasons to anticipate the film with interest. The last time they were seen sharing screen space was in the Mani Ratnam directorial Iruvar which released two decades ago.

Touted to be a high budget film, Odiyan is being bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. M. Jayachandran will be setting the tunes for the songs and debutant Sam C. S. has been roped in for the background score. Shaji Kumar is wielding the camera for this film with A. Sreekar Prasad roped in for editing. Odiyan will grace the theatres next year and the exact date will be announced later, say sources.
