Mohanlal’s ‘Neerali’ theatrical trailer impresses ahead of film’s release

An action entertainer, the film has been shot extensively in Mumbai and Pune, besides some exotic locations in Sri Lanka.

One of the most anticipated films and Mohanlal’s first film release of the year, Neerali is getting ready for release on June 14. The shooting for this action thriller has been wrapped up and the post-production is happening right now. While the sound mixing for the title song is being taken care of by its music director Stephen Devassy in Poland, the theatrical trailer of Neerali was released amidst a lot of expectations.

Of course, the trailer does look impressive and confirms the fact that the movie will be a treat for all Mohanlal fans watching it this Ramzan. The trailer shows Nadiya, who is playing Mohanlal’s wife, going into labour while Mohanlal is seen driving in a truck along with Suraj Venjaramoodu. The star cast also includes Parvatii Nair in a pivotal role and she is shown making an attempt to commit suicide. It appears that Dileesh Pothen is the antagonist in this venture.

Neerali, an action entertainer, is set in Mumbai and Pune and has been shot extensively in those cities besides some exotic locations in Sri Lanka.

Directed by acclaimed editor Ajoy Varma, Neerali will be his directorial debut in the Malayalam film industry. He has roped in top technicians from Bollywood for the project and this includes Santosh Thundiyil, who has cranked the camera for films such as Rustom, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Krrish. Bollywood stunt director Sunil Rodriguez has choreographed the stunts for this flick.

Saju Thomas has penned the screenplay for Neerali, which has been bankrolled by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan under the banner Moon Shot Entertainments. The film is edited jointly by Ajoy Varma and Sajit Unnikrishnan. The star cast also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saikumar, Dileesh Pothan, Nassar, Prakash Raj and Megha Mathew.

With the film’s release date being revealed officially, Mohanlal’s fans are waiting eagerly to catch it at the theatres.
