Quite a racy series it would be.
Ee Thanutha Veluppan Kalathu: Written by Padmarajan and directed by Joshiy, Mammootty headlines this crime thriller that revolves around a serial killer. With an ensemble cast of actors, like Mukham, there will be enough plot twists and thrills to make up a long running series.
Mumbai Police: Dark, gritty with a lead who has broken a lot of conventions one associates with an average celluloid hero, this Rosshan Andrrews directorial written by Bobby-Sanjay has enough going to turn into an evenly-paced, gripping web series.
Action Hero Biju: What makes this a freshly brewed story is its narrative and characterisation, centred around the everyday life of a Circle Inspector. It’s part serious, part funny and part moving with a lot of quirky, realistic characters lined up. In fact, it’s more ideal as a web series than a film.
Ee Adutha Kalathu: Murali Gopy frames multiple stories into the narrative, each with intricate, realistic characters based in urban and rural terrain, and intersperses their situations craftily. It’s dark, funny, poignant, very real and riveting to watch. Ticks all the boxes for a series on the web.
Mayaanadhi: It’s about a boy and girl who are perfect for each other. Yet their relationship is never smooth sailing, to the point of being jinxed. There is a parallel track running between the boy and a few cops on his trail. Lot of deep romantic moments, an interesting track around the girl’s struggle with her career and family, along with a string of fantastically original characters makes Aashiq Abu’s Mayaanadhi an interesting choice as a web series.
Oru CBI Diary Kurippu (series): This iconic investigative cop thriller headlined by the unassuming, intelligent and dynamic Sethurama Iyer unravelling a series of crimes with clinical precision is the stuff tailor-made for a web series.
