Jr NTR hosted the first season of the popular television reality show, Bigg Boss Telugu, last year, which went on to become a big hit. And this season, the opportunity to host the show may fall on actor Nani.

According to the buzz, Nani has been approached by the channel to host the upcoming season and the modalities are being worked out. An official announcement on him getting on board the show is expected to be made soon.

Reports say that the channel had been scouting for a suitable replacement for Jr NTR, who had hosted the show successfully last season. This year, he couldn’t take up the offer as he would be busy with his upcoming film which is to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas and will then move on to the SS Rajamouli directorial, in which he will be sharing screen space with Ram Charan Teja for the first time. On Nani being the next choice to host Bigg Boss, we hear that he will be apt for it considering the RJ experience he had much before entering the film industry.

The first season of Bigg Boss Telugu, which went on air on July 16 last year, was broadcast on Star Maa amidst a lot of hype. Comprising 71 episodes, the show came to an end on September 24, 2017. There were 14 contestants locked up in the Bigg Boss house, surrounded by 60 cameras and cut off from the outside world vying for the Big Boss title.

The five finalists were Siva Balaji, Adarsh, Navadeep, Hariteja and Archana. The title was won by Tollywood actor Siva Balaji. A total of 11.95 crore votes were polled. There was only a slight difference in votes between finalists Siva Balaji and Adarsh. Siva Balaji bagged 3.34 crore votes while 3.25 crore people voted in support of Adarsh. With this victory, Siva Balaji pocketed a prize money of Rs 50 lakh.

Nani is currently busy with the Telugu movie Krishnarjuna Yudham directed by Merlapaka Gandhi; he will also be seen making a cameo appearance in the Tamil film Pallandu Vaazhga.
