Not part of any Tamil film, Nandita Das trashes reports

Written by : TNM

Trashing a report by Times of India, National award-winning actress Nandita Das has clarified that she has not signed any new Tamil project.

Last seen in Seenu Ramasamy-directed Neerparvai, it was rumoured that Nandita will be teaming up with actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani in a yet-untitled Tamil project to be directed by writer-lyricist Kutti Revathi.

Reacting to the news on her Facebook page, she wrote, “I have been getting calls from the media asking about my new Tamil film!! Just read in no less a paper that TOI. This was news to me as well, as I have not heard of the people mentioned or the project!! I am on a summer break with my son and soon returning to dive into my Manto project. It has been a while now that I have been declining all other distractions, so not sure what this is all about! Guess these days there is smoke without fire!”

The film, according to Revathi, will be based on rampant violence against women in the household.
