On the occasion of his birthday on Wednesday, Prithviraj Sukumaran came up with a double bonanza announcement that made his fans happy. He posted the poster of his upcoming film Kaduva on his social media page and disclosed that it will be a mass action entertainer, something his fans have been wanting him to do for a long time now. The other announcement was his collaboration with director Shaji Kailas after six years with Kaduva.

The film is scripted by Jinu Abraham, who had directed Prithviraj in Adam Joan. On Kaduva, Jinu Abraham had said in an interview to the Times of India, “It’s an out-and-out ‘mass’ film that is set in the 90s. It is inspired by a true incident. But that has only influenced five per cent of the story, the rest of the plot is fictional.”

On bringing in Shaji Kailas to wield the megaphone for Kaduva, Jinu said that when the script was narrated to Prithviraj, the actor was set on having the director on board as he is a specialist in directing mass action entertainers. The shooting for Kaduva will begin in March next, before which Prithviraj will wrap up Driving License, Aadujeevitham and Ayyappanum Koshyum.

Driving License is helmed by Jean Paul Lal alias Lal Jr. Prithviraj is bankrolling the project under his home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. The technical crew of this film includes Ranadive for wielding the camera and Sushin Shyam to compose the tunes.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum, directed by Sachy, will have Prithviraj and Biju Menon playing the title roles.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul play the lead pair in Aadujeevitham. Directed by Najeeb Muhammad, the film’s technical crew includes Resul Pookutty for sound designing, KU Mohanan for cinematography and Raja Muhammed for editing. Aadujeevitham will see Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman coming back to the Malayalam film industry. It is being bankrolled by KG Abraham under the banner KGA Films.
