Prithviraj’s Ezra a big success at the box office

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Ezra opened to packed houses last Friday, February 10, 2017, amidst a lot of expectations. The teaser of the film did create a lot of buzz and it has certainly paid off well at the box office.

Directed by Jay K, a debutant, Ezra is a horror thriller that has the audiences glued to their seats right through. The gripping film, with Prithiviraj in the lead, is reported to have grossed Rs 2.70 crore on its opening day. Sources in the trade say that the BO collections are akin to those of Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol.

The Ezra cast and crew are happy with the response for the film and expect the collections to soar this week. Directed by Jay, the film is produced jointly by R Mehta, CV Sarathi and AV Anoop under the banners AVA productions and E4 Entertainment. The film has Priya Anand, Tovino Thomas, Pratap Pothen, Sudev Nair and Babu Anthony in the cast.

Plans are afoot to release Ezra in Tamil and Telugu as well.

Prithiviraj’s other films, which are in various stages of production and are lined up for release this year are: My Story, Tiyaan, Vimanam, Adam and Aami.
