The last time Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was seen as a college student was in Raam and that released way back in 2009. After nearly a decade, he is set to return as a college-goer with the Santosh Ananddram directorial Yuva Ratna. The title comes with the tagline ‘Power of Youth’, which gives an indication that the film would have a political touch.

The title of the film was announced on November 1 and now this news about his role as a college-goer has surfaced, which has Puneeth’s fans elated. V Hari Krishna has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick and details about the rest of the star cast and crew are expected to be out soon.

Santosh Ananddram and Puneeth Rajkumar had teamed up earlier for Raajakumara, which turned out to be a huge hit commercially. With the same team back together, it is enough to raise the expectation levels for Yuva Ratna. The film will be out in theatres in mid-2019, we hear.

Puneeth is currently busy with the Pawan Wadeyar directorial Nata Sarvabhouma. The film was supposed to be a Dussehra release but the release has been postponed to December. It may be mentioned here that the latter will be making her debut in Sandalwood with this film, which is being bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions.

Besides playing the lead role in Nata Sarvabhouma, Puneeth is also bankrolling Kavaludaari under his banner PRK Productions.
