Director Surender Reddy is busy working on Dhruva, the Telugu remake of Jayam Ravi-starrer Thani Oruvan, and it stars Ram Charan in the title role.

Having completed the second schedule recently, the makers are now heading to Kashmir to shoot some important sequences including a song. On working with Ram Charan for the first time, Reddy said he’s enjoying working with him and that his aura is such that it makes everyone on the sets very energetic.

On his Facebook page, Reddy confirmed that the film’s title is Dhruva, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Navdeep and Posani Krishna Murali among others. Arvind Swami, who played the suave and conniving entrepreneur in the original, will play the antagonist once again. Hip Hop Tamizha has been roped in to compose the tunes while PS Vinod will crank the camera.

For his role as an IPS officer, Ram Charan is currently following a strict vegetarian diet and he’s said to be working out rigorously to play his part. If everything goes as planned, the makers intend to release the film this Diwali.
