'Rangasthalam' becomes a big hit in the US

The film is doing particularly well at the US box office by continuing its 50-day run.

Ram Charan Teja’s success streak continues with his latest film release Rangasthalam doing well at the box office. The film released to packed houses on April 29th and is holding on well at the theatres worldwide.

Rangasthalam has completed 50 days at the box office and it is doing particularly well at the US box office by continuing its 50-day run. Distributed by Creative Cinemas NY, the film’s 50th day collections have been donated to the charitable organization H2O. According to trade reports, the film is running to packed houses in 12 locations in the US, including Virginia, Chicago, San Jose, Dallas, Columbus, Edison and its collections have been on the rise.

In a press note issued by the filmmakers, it has been stated, “Rangasthalam has proved to be a profitable venture for its makers as it makes record collections worldwide. In the US alone, the film collected $3,513,371 and counting. To mark the 50 days run in the US, director Sukumar thanked both fans and movie lovers in the US. Creative Cinemas NY thanked Mythri Movie Makers Navin Errineni, Ravi Shankar & CV Mohan and Sukumar. We sincerely thank all our media friends for  being part of the movie a grand success.”

Directed by Sukumar, the film is a period actioner that has Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni pairing up for the first time. The star cast also includes Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Aadhi Pinisetty and Anusuya Bharadwaj.

Made on a budget of Rs 60 Cr, the theatrical rights of Rangasthalam were reportedly sold for Rs 80 Cr – the highest for a Ram Charan film.  The film has been bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Sankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the banner Mythri Movie Makers on a huge budget. Made on a budget of Rs. 68 crores, it has collected Rs. 210 crores at the box office. The film is all set to become highest grosser after Baahubali 2 going by the current trend. Following which the makers are all set to be dubbed into several Indian languages.The film is being dubbed in  Malayalam, Tamil, Bhojpuri and Hindi, Several other languages are under consideration.
