What a fantastic year it's already been for the incredibly talented and spunky Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, whose big release this year Sarrainodu has been making headlines. Grossing Rs. 125 crore at the box office, second only to Baahubali and earning him a clean sweep at the awards, Allu Arjun is truly riding high.
Speaking about the recent success, Allu Arvind (producer and father of Allu Arjun) said, "Ghajini was Aamir's biggest hit back then. Magadheera is Ram Charan's highest grossing film. Now, I am happy that Sarrainodu also made on our Geetha Arts banner is Allu Arjun's highest grossing film and among the biggest hits of Telugu cinema."
Allu Arjun recently swept all the awards despite biggies like Baahubali and Srimanthudu being present in the same categories. His awards include IIFA - Best Supporting Actor, CineMaa Critics Award, Filmfare Critics Award and SIIMA Best Supporting Actor.
Allu Arjun said, "I played a supporting role in a heroine-centric movie out of respect for cinema and respect for women.” I feel more such movies need to be made. I am happy that the decision paid back multifold with the audience and critics loving my role as Gona Ganna Reddy in Rudhramadevi.
