Even while Sivakarthikeyan awaits the release of Hero which has been produced by KJR Studios and expected to hit the screens on December 20, the announcement of the actor’s next, co-produced by KJR Studios, has been made. This film is titled Doctor.

This film will be jointly produced by KJR Studios and Sivakarthikeyan’s production house - Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Nelson Dilipkumar, who made quite an impact with Kolamaavu Kokila, will be directing Doctor. The film’s music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The announcement was made along with a motion poster of the title on Monday.

Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in director Pandiraj’s Namma Veetu Pillai, will next be seen in director PS Mithran’s Hero, alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan, Ivana, and Abhay Deol. The film was recently entangled in a legal battle between 24 AM Productions and TSR Films Private Limited. KJR Studios immediately responded saying it had no connection with the two production houses.

In addition to these films, Sivakarthikeyan has an untitled science-fiction film directed by Netru Indru Naalai fame Ravikumar in hand. Ravikumar has been working on the film’s pre-production for over a year now and the film had to be put in the cold storage since the makers ran into financial trouble. The actor was recently in talks with the producers to revive it.

He also has a film with Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Thaana Serndha Koottam director Vignesh Shivn in the pipeline. To be produced by Lyca Productions, the film, currently called as SK 17, will mark the first time collaboration of Siva and Shivn.

On his production front, Sivakarthikeyan has Vaazhl directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman who made a splash with his critically acclaimed debut film Aruvi. The film marks the third production venture of Sivakarthikeyan after Kanaa and Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja.
