Even as news that director and producer Soundarya Rajinikanth was all set to marry actor Vishagan Vanangamudi surfaced earlier this year, official confirmation from the family never came, not until Monday.

Tweeting from her official Twitter handle, Soundarya Rajinikanth has now confirmed the news, just a week before her wedding.

On Monday, Soundarya shared a photograph of herself, dressed in a silk saree and gold jewellery, and accompanying the photo are several hashtags to confirm the news - ‘Bride Mode’, ‘One week to go’ and ‘Ved Vishagan Soundarya’.

On Saturday, Latha Rajinikanth, Soundarya’s mother had written to the Teynampet police station, requesting for bandobast at their Poes Garden residence on February 10 and 12. Not specifying the reason, Latha had only mentioned that they are expected to receive guests on those two dates at their house.

Now, going by Soundarya’s tweet, the wedding is expected to happen on February 11.
