'Suriya is a director's delight': Selvaraghavan

The director, on his Twitter post wrote that Suriya lived the role of NGK for over a year and brought life to all the layers he had visualised for the character.

Suriya's recent release NGK, directed by Selvaraghavan, received mixed reviews from the audience. Following which Suriya opened up about the audience and critics' response on Twitter.

He wrote, "I humbly accept all the love, views and opinions about NGK with utmost humility and thank the masterminds ;) who decoded and appreciated the different attempt, and the actors performances!! Thanks to the entire cast & crew for making this happen (sic)."

Now, director Selvaraghavan has come out with a Twitter post thanking Suriya. In his post, Selva states that Suriya lived the role of NGK for over a year and brought life to all the layers he had visualised for the character. Selva also adds that Suriya was a big pillar of strength for the movie and reiterated his statement that the actor was a 'directors delight'!

The film had Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi playing the female leads, alongside Suriya. Produced by SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures banner, had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, editing by Praveen KL and cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan.

Meanwhile, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of KV Anand's Kaappaan which is on the verge of wrapping up. Touted to be an action-thriller co-starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal the film is being bankrolled by A Subashkaran on a huge budget under his banner Lyca Productions.

Suriya recently commenced shooting of Sudha Kongara's project is titled Soorarai Potru. With two schedules already wrapped up, the crew is getting ready to commence on the third. The film is being co-produced by Guneet Monga in association with 2D Entertainment.

Suriya will also be teaming up with Director Siva of Veeram and Viswasam fame. Tentatively titled Suriya 39, the project will be bankrolled by Studio Green KEGnanavel Raja and interestingly Siva's debut Tamil film too, Siruthai, was bankrolled by Studio Green.
