Tamannaah's next is horror film titled 'Petromax'

Directed by Rohin Venkatesan, the film also stars Yogi Babu.

The title poster of the upcoming  Tamannaah starrer Petromax was unveiled by actor Taapsee Pannu. Posting it on her social networking page, the actor wrote: “Good luck to the entire team! Here’s the first look of #PetroMax starring @tamannaahspeaks produced by @EaglesEyeProd.@rohinv_v @iYogiBabu @kaaliactor @tsk_actor @GhibranOfficial @meevinn @onlynikil @DoneChannel1 @thinkmusicindia @CtcMediaboy.”

Petromax is a horror film that will have Tamannaah in the lead role. Also in the star cast of this film is Yogi Babu in a pivotal role. Wielding the megaphone for this venture is Rohin Venkatesan and it is bankrolled under the banner Passion Studios.

Ghibran is composing the tunes for this flick with Dani Raymond cranking the cinematography and Leo John Paul editing it. Reports are that Petromax is already in the post-production mode and its release date will be revealed soon.

Besides Petromax, which is waiting in the pipeline for release, Tamannaah also has the Telugu movie That is Mahalakshmi awaiting release. It is the remake of the hit Bollywood movie Queen.  

Tamannaah is reprising the role done by Kangna Ranaut in the original version. Queen, a 2014 film, was directed by Vikas Bhal. It had Kangna Ranaut playing the female lead with Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon in pivotal roles.

The film went on to win a slew of awards including the National Award for Best Actress for Kangna Ranaut and Best Feature Film in Hindi. The other prestigious awards that it had bagged include BIG Star Entertainment Awards, Filmfare Awards, Global Indian Music Academy Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, Stardust Awards etc.

Tamannaah will also be seen in the Telugu magnum opus Sye Raa, sharing the screen space with Chiranjeevi and the Tamil untitled film with Vishal in the lead.
