This is not the first time Mahesh Babu is playing a cop as he had done such roles in Dookudu, Pokkiri and Aagadu. We also hear that the star will be speaking the Rayalseema dialect and is getting trained by a linguist to get the pronunciation and accent right. And that is not all! Reportedly, he plays a character who suffers from a rare condition known as haemophobia which means he is scared of blood.

Mahesh Babu's 25th film Maharishi got the biggest opening in his career. It was directed by Vamsi Paidipally, best known for directing films like Oopiri and Yevadu. The film shattered every possible record at the box office and has turned out to be the biggest opener of this year. The film talks about the struggles faced by farmers and it follows the same trajectory of Mahesh Babu's previous films, Srimathudu and Bharat Ane Nenu.
