Anushka Sharma’s critically-acclaimed NH10, a shockingly realistic portrayal of honour killing based on true events, left audiences and critics in awe when it released last year.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, its Tamil remake is in the process of being materialized and it is most likely to star Trisha or Samantha Ruth Prabhu. According to reports, talks have already been initiated with Trisha; however, nothing has been firmed up yet.

Sources have also confirmed that Samantha is looking to try her hand at different films and had even expressed interest to star in the remake of recent Kannada sleeper hit, Lucia. She might be interested to star in the remake of NH10, and could grab the opportunity, provided she’s approached with the offer. The remake will be bankrolled by a popular studio and will be co-produced by a leading southern star.

Trisha currently awaits the release of Dhanush-starrer Kodi. She’s also shooting for Mohini, a horror-thriller, in which she plays a chef. Samantha, meanwhile, hasn’t signed any new projects except one with Sivakarthikeyan. She even walked out of Dhanush’s Vada Chennai due to her marriage plans with Naga Chaitanya.
