Puneeth Rajkumar’s 28th film as leading man Natasaarvabhowma will see veteran actor Saroja Devi doing a cameo. She will star in a very special sequence and will be playing herself. According to reports surfacing about the film, we hear that Puneeth plays a journo in the film and will be seen interviewing the veteran actor in one of the scenes.
On playing the lead role in Natasaarvabhowma, Puneeth Rajkumar said in an interview to Indian Express, “I am proud and nervous to do a film with this title. Hopefully, we do a good job. We will definitely strive towards it and the audience are sure to love it.”
It may be mentioned here that Puneeth’s dad, the legendary actor Dr Rajkumar, was referred to as Natasaarvabhowma (meaning ‘emperor of acting’) and hence the star is excited to feature in the film. The first look teaser of the film was released some months ago, creating a lot of anticipation among movie buffs.
Dr Rajkumar did star in a film titled Natasaarvabhowma way back in 1968. The film was directed by Aaruru Pattabhi and turned out to be a major hit in his career.
Natasaarvabhowma, starring Puneeth Rajkumar, is being directed by Pawan Wadeyar. It will be the star’s first film release this year. Puneeth was seen in a cameo in Humble Politician Nograj earlier this year. He was also the narrator in the Anup Bhandari directorial Raja Ratha, which released in March this year.
Besides acting in films, Puneeth has floated his own production house and will be bankrolling two films – Kavalu Daari and Maya Bazaar – under the banner.
Puneeth is an acclaimed actor in the Kannada film industry and had won several awards in his career, including the National Award for Best Child Actor for Bettada Hoovu in 1985 and the Karnataka State Awards for Best Acting four times.
