The shooting of Vijay’s 63rd film had to be halted briefly after the star’s fans landed in large numbers at the Binny Mills where he was filming. Vijay’s fans were making a beeline to the Binny Mills and this was certainly causing a big hindrance to proceed with the shooting.
According to sources, the film unit is now considering shifting the venue so that they can shoot peacefully. We hear that the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad is being considered but nothing has been finalised as yet.
Earlier, when Vijay was shooting for Mersal, he faced a similar issue and the shooting was moved to northern parts of India where the scenes set in Madurai were shot.
Vijay 63 – as the film is called until a title is announced – directed by Atlee Kumar, has Nayanthara playing the female lead. The director has earlier worked with Vijay in Mersal and the film turned out to be a big success. He is associating with Vijay for the second time. Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the tunes for this film, which will be bankrolled by AGS Entertainments. GK Vishnu is cranking the camera for this film and Anthony L Ruben will be the editor.
Touted to be a sports entertainer, it is rumored that Vijay will feature as a football coach and part of the film will be shot in the US. According to a statement released by the makers recently, the film will be ‘PAKKA MASS’ family entertainer with a large cast, superior technical crew and best of production value. “We are putting together the best global talent to attempt a genre that will be the first of its kind for Thalapathy. The film will deal with a genre that will be first-of-its-kind for him,” the statement said.
Besides the lead pair Vijay and Nayanthara, the cast also includes Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Yogi Babu, Sai Dheena, Vivek, Anandraj and others.
Sources in the know say that around 16 debutants have been roped in to play football. However, there is no official word on it from the makers yet.
