Vijay Deverakonda whose film Mahanati released this Wednesday is expecting the launch of his new film titled Dear Comrade. Ahead of the actor's birthday, the makers released the first look poster of the film on Wednesday.

The actor posted on social media on his birthday that this film will be an unforgettable action drama. "Mythri Movie Makers. Big Ben Cinemas. & Your Man @Thedeverakonda. Bring you an action drama you will not forget - #DearComrade directed by Bharat Kamma. Shoot starts this June."

The film is currently in pre-production. The upcoming Telugu film which is being directed by Bharat Kamma was said to be inspired from the Dulquer Salmaan's Malayalam film Comrade in America aka CIA. However, in a recent media interaction, director Bharat Kamma told, "This is completely a different project and has no connection with the Malayalam film.
