The husband and wife duo Pushkar-Gayatri, who made the Tamil version will be remaking the film in Hindi.

In their official statement, Y Not Studios said that they are teaming up with Reliance Entertainment and Neeraj Pandey’s Plan C Studios for the Hindi remake.

“After our two successful co-productions in Hindi, Saala Khadoos & Shubh Mangal Saavdhan with Rajkumar Hirani & Anand L. The Hindi remake will be produced by Y Not Studios and Plan C Sudios which is a collaboration of Reliance Entertainment, and Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia’s Friday Filmworks. “After the release of the Tamil original many of them reached out to S Sashikanth (Y Not Studios) to partner with him on the Hindi remake. The film can easily be made with any good talent but stars guarantee a wider reach which is what the idea of the remake is,” says Shibasish Sarkar, COO, Reliance Entertainment.

Pushkar and Gayatri who directed the Tamil movie will also direct the Hindi version.
